This national forest located in NW Pennsylvania covers 517,000 acres. Established in 1923, Allegheny National Forest (ANF) is Pennsylvania’s only National Forest. The ANF motto pretty much sales it all: “Land of Many Uses” With 200 miles of hiking trails and 53 miles of X-C ski trails the ANF provides lots of opportunities to get your boots muddy and your skis snow covered. Since the ANF is only 3 hours from home, we have more tent nights here than any other location. It is also home to “THE SPOT” but more about that later.
