Hello visitors, we are Steve & Leann. Our friends just call us the “Whytes”. Leann said I needed a hobby (other than work), this blog is my new hobby. What am I going to write about? I plan to share our travels, including our US National Park journey. We love the outdoors so I will discuss our favorite activities: backpacking, hiking, biking, kayaking, cross country skiing and bird watching. The last one is for Leann since she is an avid birder. I will also offer my opinion on the gear we use for these activities. Yes I am a gear nerd. I can talk for hours about the shear joy of backpacking pots that nest inside of each other. Leann is a very patient person.
After a few stops and starts I just decided to share our travels in the order they occurred. I hope you enjoy our journey.
