DEER CREEK LAKE TO CHRISS LAKE LOOP HIKE

To get to the trailhead we drove the famous Hogback section of Route 12 in Utah.

Some people will avoid this section of road due to the steep drops on both sides of the road. Of course, we did it a total of 3 times.

DIXIE NATIONAL FOREST

We thought it would be nice to take a break from the red rocks and found this hike an hour from our campground. We didn’t want to drive that far but we were burned out on red rocks and blue sky. We are crazy.

Looks like we are getting white trees and blue sky.

A rose hip, also called a rose haw or rose hep, is the accessory fruit of various species of the rose plant.

Rose hips are known for being high in vitamin C and antioxidants. They are edible, with a taste described as being similar to a mix of plums, tart apples, and rose petals, and are used in teas and herbal medicine.

The flow rate from this spring was impressive.

Apparently somebody did not care for this sign.

The Aspen trees were hanging on to their leaves.
