ICELAND WATERFALLS

These are some of the waterfalls we saw in Iceland. Three are repeats but I got video this time

I really liked this one from our first visit.

F ROADS AND FAGRIFOSS FALLS

Fagrifoss took more effort to visit but it was worth it. If you want to visit Iceland I highly recommend renting a 4 wheel drive. This gives you access to the F Roads where you get endless vistas and very few people. There is approximately 2,500 miles of F roads, that is a lot of exploring

Basalt columns

Lunch spot

This was our only creek crossing, it was not too bad. AKA we survived.

We had the place to ourselves.

Bruarfoss was not the tallest or the highest flow but the blue color more than made up for that. The blue color comes from glacial meltwater loaded with mineral particles. The particles scatter sunlight that reflects blue light.

The Castors wanted to snorkel in Thingvellir National Park. Leann and I decided to hike the trail around the park and then we all hiked to the Öxarárfoss waterfall.

People kept climbing on the rocks for selfies, I patiently waited till they cleared so I could take video. Leann would disagree on my patience.

HAPPY FALLS, STEVE
