This was a convenient stop after visiting Shiloh National Military Park. Not a bad place for a quick stop on the way somewhere else. The park is named after the leader of the Chickasaw nation: Chief Tishomingo.

We walked under the Natchez Trace Parkway. This is a 444 mile scenic and historic roadway that runs from Natchez to Nashville.
We did about a 50 mile section of the roadway as we headed South from Tishomingo. It was a very easy drive. Set the cruise and relax. We talked about driving the entire roadway at some point.
