We were headed to Patagonia Lake State Park from Catalina State Park. Leann suggested we stop at Madera Canyon and hike the Old Baldy Trail. She said we could turn around at the saddle. Sounded good to me but something told me the saddle would not be the turn around point.

This was a steep rocky trail.

You have a long fall if you go off the trail.

This was a hard hike but worth the effort.
