BLAZE GETS A BOX

What this van needs….

We were still looking for a way to carry a propane tank (not in the van) since the cargo box mounted to the trailer hitch was a failure. It was a pain to use and we could not carry the cargo box and our bikes at the same time. On to plan B or is it Plan Z? I looked at a lot of options and stumbled upon Aluminess, they manufacture various accessories for vans and one of these is a cargo box that mounts on the rear door. This seemed like a great solution and we decided to ask Creative Mobile if they would install the box for us. They said Aluminess is a great product and come on down.

The only challenge was how to handle getting the van to Grove City, Ohio. We talked about driving down 2 vehicles so we could leave the van, we talked about renting a car in Columbus so we could leave the van. Both of these seemed like a waste of time and money. I told Leann I would just drive down Wednesday, find a place to camp and be at the store when they opened the next day. I looked at a few options and A W Marion seemed like the best choice.

Camp site was on the edge of a ravine.
I got to camp late in the day and did not have time to hike the only trail in the park.
Hargus Lake
Dinner time. temps were in the 60’s so I just set up the kitchen next to the van. The ham steak was good.
Ohio state parks are open year round. Not sure why since I was the only one there
I got to Creative Mobile when they opened at 8:30. They were done by lunch time. The box looks great and I can’t wait to see how much crap I can keep in here.
Turns out that I can get a lot of crap in here: 5 pound propane tank on the bottom left, screen house across the top and an assortment of lights, propane adapters, fire starters, lighters and saw in the box on the bottom right. Even better, I still have room for more. What this box needs…
