This is another park we visited with our daughters for a day hike. We tried visiting last year but the campground was full. The park is good for an extended stay due to it’s proximity to other attractions. Chickamauga Battlefield and Russell Cave National Monument are easy day trips.

I love gravel campsites , they stay clean and dry. This is number 47.

There are 600 steps down and 600 steps back up to reach the river and the waterfalls. Of course we did it twice.

I liked Sitton’s Gulch trail. We followed the river with the constant sound of water rushing over rocks.
