We were looking for a campground that was a reasonable distance to Bayfield, Wisconsin. We had a reservation for the Apostle Island Ferry and we wanted to get up at a reasonable time.
We loved the campground, the sites were big and private. We heard Loons calling when we got out of the van. They have one of my favorite calls. We also heard a very persistent Whippoorwill and a Barred owl.

The campground is between East and West Twin Lake. This is West Twin.

I could not get a definitive answer on this species. Most common answer I got was, don’t eat ir.

The weather was perfect: warm day, cool nights and zero bugs. Apparently the bugs can be overwhelming in the summer.

HAPPY CAMPING, STEVE
