We met our friends here and had a good time catching up with them and mooching their fire.

We parked the van and headed off to the only trail in the park.

This is the view near the top of the climb.

Juniper Berries: Gin and Tonic anyone?

The trail was not marked at all but thanks to All Trails we were able to find our way.

This trail had a split personality. The first half was a well graded climb with nice views the entire way. Then you drop into this narrow canyon and walk by various rock formations. We loved it.

Leann likes to find interesting stones where she can sit.

The last section of the trail was challenging but fun.

It’s nice they had a cable you could hang onto on this section of trail, you can see it in Leann’s right hand.

This bridge seemed like overkill to me, maybe they had funds they had to spend or lose.

This was a nice way to end our visit to Echo Canyon. The next morning we said goodbye to our friends and headed to our next camp.

HAPPY TRAILS, STEVE
