We drove a mini van up Pikes Peak in Colorado which is 14,115 feet high. We can now say we have been to Pikes Peak in Iowa which is 1,130 feet high. That is a unique double, double.
We had a reservation at Willow River State park in Wisconsin for the night. We hated it: small campsites run down facilities, etc. We cancelled our reservation and booked a site at Pikes Peak State Park in Iowa. It was much nicer. We parked the van and went for a hike.
