PETRIFIED FOREST, GRAND CANYON & CANYONLANDS NATIONAL PARK

Leann had been to the West many times but this was my first trip west of the Mississippi. I was able to get a 2 week vacation so we decided to drive to the Grand Canyon. This was the first of many trips West.

OUR 7th NATIONAL PARK

We did a quick stop at Petrified Forest, for some reason we do not have many pictures.

OUR 8th NATIONAL PARK

ESTABLISHED: FEBRUARY 26, 1919

ACRES: 1,218,375

We stopped at Monument Valley on the way to Canyonlands.

This is the first time we actually took a picture of the park sign.
