VIRGIN ISLANDS

We decided to do a quick trip over July 4th weekend to see Virgin Islands NP. We flew into St. Thomas took a shuttle (fee) to the ferry dock and took the ferry to Cruz Bay. The place was chaos, turns out July 4th is the biggest party of the year. We worked our way through the crowds and found the rental car company jumped in our jeep and headed to our lodging for the trip.

This is Cruz Bay and where we stayed is on the hills overlooking the bay. We stayed in Estate Lindholm. Leann found this place and I would go back again. Nice rooms, great breakfast and views of either the bay or the gardens. https://estatelindholm.com/

There are limited car rental options so we got a JEEP, I hated it
#60 is 4451 miles from #59. United loved us this year
We lucked out, we heard the fireworks before we saw them and wondered where they would be. Answer came quick, just sit on the balcony and enjoy the show.
We did a few hikes hot and humid, I was melting
One of many great sunsets
Snorkeling was really good, just walk in from the beach. We saw a lot of turtles here.
Blacked Neck Stilt
Another hot humid hike on the south side of the island.
This tiny lizard kept jumping on my foot for some reason.

#59 and 60 could not have been more different but we enjoyed both. Hopefully # 61 will keep our streak of great trips alive.
