This is our “first” camper van, a Chevy Venture. We drove this all over the country with our 3 girls and one large cabin tent. This van was not one of our best vehicles. It rusted pretty quickly and turned us off to Chevy. This picture was taken in Amicalola Falls State Park in Northern Georgia. The Appalachian trail starts near here.
The end of an era., Camper Van #2
This is our 2006 Honda Odyssey with 274,000 miles. We drove this thing everywhere on all kinds of adventures: hiking, biking, backpacking, kayaking and road trips to national parks. It did it all. Leann loved this car, I did not think she would ever want to sell it. She took it in for a full service check. The dealer called back and said they could only change the oil. The frame was too rusted and it was not safe to lift the vehicle. It’s time had come and she decided to sell it. Guy bought it for parts for $975, everyone was happy. I will say the engine was still running great, Honda engines last forever.
