CUYAHOGA VALLEY NP
8.68 MILES, 823 FEET ELEVATION GAIN
We started at Happy Days and did the Haskell Run trail, Ledges trail, Pine Grove trail, then headed to Cross Country trail and Kendall Lake trail.

Haskell Run

The ledges are made up of large conglomerate sedimentary rock formations. These rock formations were created about 350 million years ago. This is one of the most popular sections of the park.

320,000,000 years ago oceans rose to cover tropical Ohio. The oceans carried sand and mud which led to the formation of the ledges. Hard to believe that 20,000 years ago the same area was under one mile of glacial ice.
