We camped here since it was a reasonable drive to Snow Canyon State Park and the West entrance of Zion National Park. We lucked out again since we wanted to camp in Snow Canyon but it was booked. Snow Canyon camping looked terrible and we were happy with Gunlock

The guide book says there are 2 hikes here but this is the only one since the other hike is a part of this one.

This was an unusual start to a hike. We hiked across the top of the damn, it was not very high. There were zero trail markers; fortunately All Trails showed us the way.

I like the color combination of white and red rocks.

This is downstream of the damn. The stream was bone dry.

You can see remnants of a major rain storm in this section. The area dries quickly.

HAPPY TRAILS, STEVE
