WASHITA BATTLEFIELD NHS

On November 27, 1868, Lt. Colonel George Armstrong Custer led the 7th US Cavalry on a surprise dawn attack on a Cheyenne village led by Chief Black Kettle. This is a depressing chronology of the battle.

The majority of the deaths were women and children. Custer got what he deserved at Little Big Horn

Hard to believe what happened here, so peaceful now.

REMEMBER THE PAST, STEVE
