We did chores on the way to Kartchner Caverns: laundry, groceries and I was able to get the first layer of dirt off Blaze.

We passed a family of 4 and the father made a comment that they stopped a lot to take pictures. I don’t think he liked being passed by a couple of old farts.

CAVERNS BIG ROOM TOUR
There are 4 tours available at Kartchner: big room, rotunda, helmet & headlamp and the photo tour. The only tour with available spots was the big room so we booked that one.
We were not allowed to take pictures (only on the photo tour) so I do not have anything to show.
The story of the cave’s discovery and protection is a good one.
