At this point we had a loose plan to visit all of the states. We had not been to the Pacific NW, so let’s go. Apparently Jenny had enough of parental hiking vacations and decided to stay home. We flew into Portland, headed North to Mount St. Helens, then South to Crater Lake, then SW to Redwoods. We completed the trip by following the coast back to Portland. What an awesome week. Julie & Jamie started the trip with the latest Harry Potter book. They would read a chapter and then discuss it, basically a mini book club.
