62st on the left for hiking and backpacking. Edge on the right for biking.

If you read our landing page you might remember that I am a bit of nerd especially when it comes to gear. A GPS feeds my nerdom. I know it’s not a word but it’s very descriptive of one of my many issues . I take a GPS with us on every backpacking trip to capture our route. On really good trips I print a custom map and have it framed. Yep, they are all over the house. I definitely recommend the Garmin units, I have never had an issue getting a signal. I even dropped the one on the left in a scree field in Wyoming, lots of scratches but kept on working.
This is my map room (AKA office), not quite as good as the one in Yellowstone but I like it.
